Women's chino pants

Chino trousers (chinos) inherited their name from the material they’re made of: a type of cotton originating from China. This cotton was often finer and as a result using it in trousers often made them more comfortable in warmer weather. Chinos were originally also mostly considered working trousers, rather than trousers for casual wear. They rose to prominence when American soldiers started wearing them casually after returning from military service.

At first glance chinos look just like any other men's trousers, but looks are deceiving. In the past decades, these types of trousers also became increasingly popular among women. While considered casual, in the right combination with other elements they can be part of a very smart outfit. It’s a perfect fit for a shirt, looser sweater or tighter sweatshirt with a hood.
